Thank you for your inquiry. Below are our Terms and Conditions. Please ensure that all dressers or chests of drawers are free of any clothing articles. All small items should also be packed in either a box, bin, or bag. The boxes should be secured with tape, bins should have lids, and any bags should be heavy-duty enough to withstand the weight of the contents. Small items that are not packed may not be transported. Small items are considered anything that can fit in a small 15”x15” box, such as books, shoes, clothes, small appliances like toasters, coffee makers, blenders, and small home decor. Additionally, TVs should be placed in a box or packaged correctly. TVs that are not packaged may not be transported. If you do not have a TV box, one can be purchased at Lowe’s, Home Depot, or U-Haul for approximately $30 on average. Please note that X-Man Delivery is not responsible for any damage caused by poorly packed boxes. We recommend that all items in a box be packed correctly with bubble wrap and wrapping paper.
X-Man Delivery does not transport living plants, propane tanks, soiled mattresses, or anything that has been contaminated with insects. All appliances must be empty in order to be transported safely. Regarding damages, all damages, if any, will be covered under the $0.60 per pound coverage if repair is not feasible. This is the current coverage policy. For example: a dresser that is destroyed and weighs 100 pounds will be covered for a maximum of $60; a scratch on a table will be repaired by one of our furniture specialists; a caster missing from an office chair will be replaced with a like-new one; and a broken lampshade will be replaced with a new one. Damages to walls, floors, or driveways will be repaired by our own contractor. A maximum of $200 will be covered for minor damages to a wall, which includes scratches, small holes that are 4 inches in diameter, or a deep scratch on a driveway or floor. For driveways, a maximum of $300 will be covered for damage that is not feasible to repair.
Hourly local move deposits are refundable only if a cancellation has been made at least one week in advance prior to your earliest scheduled moving time. Long-distance moves (typically over 50 miles) will require at least two weeks’ notice. Failure to do so can result in forfeiting your deposit or, in rare cases, a moving credit for half of the deposit amount. If your move is going into storage, please note that you will be responsible for providing the moving blankets. Our blankets will remain with us, so we will not be able to leave them in storage with your items.
Please be advised that X-Man Delivery is capable of transporting your appliances; however, we regret to inform you that we are unable to perform uninstall or installation services. In exceptional circumstances, we may be willing to provide a service to disconnect your washer and dryer with your consent and a waiver of liability. This service entails that we assume no responsibility for any potential issues arising during the uninstall process. Regarding inclement weather, we strongly advise the client to prepare accordingly and lay down any necessary floor protection as per the owner’s instructions. Our movers typically provide a floor runner to safeguard the front foyer, but for the remaining floors in the home, we recommend using plastic film protectors for carpets or Ram Board for hardwood floors. These measures should be taken prior to our arrival. Additionally, we provide door protectors and door jamb protectors for the doorway, and shrink wrap and moving blankets will be used to safeguard your furniture. Furthermore, if you are paying through a debit or credit card, a 3.5% surcharge will be applied to any amount exceeding $999.99.
